More Than Thirty Chanyuan Members Taken Away by Police on July 3

Today, more than thirty Chanyuan members of Lifechanyuan were taken away by police from various places including Shenzhen, Linzhou, Zhengzhou, and Shandong. Many of them were at work when they were suddenly suspended and taken away. The reason remains unknown, and it is unclear when they will be released and allowed to return home.
In addition, dozens of Chanyuan members had police come to their homes, demanding that they write letters of guarantee, repentance statements, and denunciation documents, and sign and fingerprint them. They were instructed not to communicate with the outside world and especially not to participate in any Lifechanyuan-related activities, including going online.
We sincerely thank the government for paying such close attention to Lifechanyuan and for showing such care for the Chanyuan members.
